The venue has plentiful changing facilities, a fitness centre and the well-known Chinese restaurant, Yi-Ban which accommodates up to 300 people with licenced bar and offering picturesque views of the water. There is also space on the hardstanding for marquees and gazebos and outside caterers can be brought in. Getting There

The London Regatta Centre is easily accessible from Central London and Canary Wharf via the Docklands Light Railway (DLR). The nearest station is Royal Albert which is a 5-minute walk away from the Regatta Centre so clients looking for a dragon boat venue without having to leave London have the perfect solution. It’s also ideal for evening events straight from the office followed by a bbq. There is a large car park on site which is free for water users.


The London Regatta Centre is a top-quality venue which is used to hosting rowing and corporate dragon boat events in London. There is no accommodation on site but plenty of hotels close by for meetings and overnight stays including the Ramada Jarvis, Travelodge and Premier Inn within 100m and the Excel Centre a short walking distance away.

We recently ran a dragon boat event for 600 staff of NatWest Markets made up of 32 teams supported by their colleagues and invited guests which raised over £74,000 for 27 different charities nominated by the staff. As well as the racing organised in two pools for teams arriving at different times after work, Gable Events arranged the venue, marquee, picnic benches, deckchairs, cloakroom, rubbish disposal, professional bbq catering, mobile bar and ice cream van which all ran seamlessly.
