Dragon Boat Racing and the Challenge
Dragon boat racing is an ancient Chinese tradition and the fastest growing water activity in Britain today - as well as the most fun! Up to 10 people paddle each 30’ boat with a drummer at the front beating time and a helm at the tail steering a straight course. No previous experience is required, just plenty of team spirit!
Gable Events has joined with Media Week to bring you the first dragon boat challenge to be staged for the media industry and its supporters. Starting at around 2pm, up to 40 crews are expected to battle it out over the 250m race course, aiming to become top crew in the industry and watched by several hundred spectators. The venue offers a superb location for racing and a fabulous event is guaranteed with bankside entertainment, hospitality and fun activities.
